A Gatlinburg Vacation

Gatlinburg, Tennessee is known as the Gateway to the Smoky Mountain Range and a Gatlinburg vacation is a great way to spend a few days or a week. Also that it is the heart of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. Gatlinburg is ultimately a once stop vacation place with many attractions and activities and yet so little time for vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee that you have to come to the conclusion that you must vacation there again. Now that our amount of time we can spend is determined, we can explore what we want to accomplish while we are there this time.

 

Fascinating and spectacular, Gatlinburg is a year-round vacation location. Whether the season, you will have a never-ending choice of parades, festivals, annual events, or indoor and outdoor activities to piqué anyone's fancy.

The choices for a Gatlinburg vacation are too numerous to list; however, we can bring many types of attractions and activities to light. For starters, we might as well figure out the where we will stay. There are at least 400 places to pick from ranging from cabins, hotels, inns, and luxurious condominiums to name a few.

Once settled in, decide, if you have not already, what it is you want to do and see. To name a few; ride the countries biggest tram to the summit of Ober Gatlinburg, visit over 400 stores, galleries or mutate around 8 miles of the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community, which happens to be host to the largest grouping of artists in the country, or you may take in Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies.

To add to your list of thing to see and do on your Gatlinburg vacation look into Wild Bear Falls Water Park, a park with a retractable roof and 60,000 square feet of wet and wild fun. Another place is Wonder works, an upside down attraction for the brain. Next suggestion is the Black Bear Jamboree, where seven brothers and their sister have a unique kind of 21st century of family entertainment. Then there are the dinner shows to attend. A family favorite being Dixie Stampede with amazing horsemanship, special effects, and stunts over a four-course meal. Nevertheless, the most visited is The Great Smoky Mountains National Park founded in 1934. This national park is a natural wonder covering over 800 square miles of North Carolina and Tennessee and running thru the Appalachian Mountains. Here you can camp, bike, fish, hike, or what ever suits your fancy.

The options for a Gatlinburg vacation are endless. Get a place to stay, visit the National Park, go to Pigeon Forge, eat at the numerous dinning facilities, do some shopping, take in a few of the attractions and activities or just plain kick back and take in the breath-taking beauty of the area.
